It was only years later of enduring terrible pains from wearing out new shoes that I realise that there is no such thing as pretty and comfortable shoes. I also have enough scabs and scars to know that the most exciting and memorable of places might not always deliver.
I think it's probably got to do with the fact that I feel like I'm getting old really fast.
These days, I just want to kick my shoes back, dig my bare feet into soft plush socks, and watch the world go by.
